Well hello folks! Every one on staff hopes you all had a wonderful thanksgiving feast and, are already preparing for Christmas! Here at IPC HQ we are already  looking past Santa’s work day and, are already preparing for the New Year!

In fact we are gearing for a fantastic party at one of our new favorite places, Juana M at 923 Brickell. This year we will starting the celebration with a five course meal fit by a King and prepared a Prince among Chefs who is simply known as …Gaston!

The night is going to be amazing, entertainment, five course meal, wine and champagne all for only $80 per person. They are preparing for two services, one for the  early birds with somewhere to go, and a second one for those who would rather enjoy the music, the food and the wine while watching the ball drop on one of their large screen Tv’s!

Well, we’ll be there along with the Florida Association Of Hispanic Journalists, World Press Services and the International Press club folks in Miami for the Holidays. Just don’t miss out, at those prices the tables will go very fast. You can contact them at either their web page at http://juanambrickell.com, their blog at juanammiami.wordpress.com or, through their FB page at: https://www.facebook.com/JuanaMBrickell?ref=br_tf.

Here are some images taken at our last adventure at the monthly Hot Topic VIP Networking event at Juana M.  Happy Holidays!

Teen Court Clinical Psychologist Dr. Ishchaji Robertson, General Magistrate Carolyn Howard with
Teen Court Youth Volunteer Victoria Urdaneta,

(MIAMI, December 2, 2013) – Miami-Dade County Teen Court, a program of the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust, unveiled “Making the Connection” at its recent Juvenile Justice Forum. Making the Connection is a new initiative aimed at exposing students to various professional opportunities and environments.  Ten of Teen Court’s youth volunteers were paired with a variety of different industry professionals who participated in the Juvenile Justice Forum held in May.

Participants were exposed to new career paths and realities experienced by the professionals including:  day-to-day happenings, types of sacrifices made, and industry best practices.  These interactions gave students access and insights for their professional development.  This initiative is another example of Teen Court’s commitment to youth empowerment and development.

“Today’s teens need much guidance, especially when it comes to the reality of their desired professions, states John E. Dixon, Jr., Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust Executive Director.  This initiative gave the youth an opportunity to expose them to a profession that they might be interested in and to see the profession in a realistic way.”

Judge Magistrate Carolyn Howard participated in the first batch of volunteers for Making the Connection.  She expressed, “Making the Connection initiative and the Teen Court program is an excellent experience for students to learn about the judicial system, and I enjoyed being a part of it.”
